ST STITHIANS COLLEGE WINTER FIXTURE

7 JUNE 2023

GARTH TURVEY

Dear Parents, Staff and Boys

We are delighted to be hosting this year’s Derby Day Hockey Fixtures against St Stithian’s College. We wish a warm welcome to Headmaster Dave du Toit, his staff, the Saints players, and parents to St Alban’s College and trust you will enjoy our hospitality.
Our annual clash is always a fiercely competitive one, but there is no doubt that it will be played in the true spirit of sportsmanship. We expect the boys from both schools to leave it all on the pitch in pursuit of victory, but let victory not be the entire focus of the weekend!
We, in turn, look forward to being hosted by the Saints community when we visit St Stithian’s for the rugby fixtures on Saturday. Thank you to the St Alban’s community for your continued support of our players and staff, who remain determined to strive for excellence.

Yours sincerely

Garth Turvey
(Director of Sport)

“Enjoy the competition but ensure that rivalry and competition do not become your masters. Play hard but fair, most of all develop friendships and ensure that you live, learn and enjoy your experiences on the field.”
