Cricket

Fixtures vs Affies

After some good results last week, the Cricket club did not have the same fortunes against Affies. The boys and coaches were all looking forward to playing a tougher opposition but unfortunately, Affies were too strong on the day and handled pressure moments better.

The results don’t necessarily show where the cricket club is at the moment and we will continue to work hard as a club to achieve a common goal and keep developing our skills sets on a weekly basis.

Some notable performances were:

Boago Motlhabedi 9 overs 47 runs and 3 wickets.

Elder Spies 10 overs 21 runs and 2 wickets.

Bokang Moche 10 overs 13 runs and 3 wickets.

Sachit Singh scored 38 runs.

Special mention to:

Luke Sass for scoring 105 off 147 balls and batting for 3 and half hours.

Let’s keep our heads up and make sure we use our opportunities this coming week vs Parktown.

Golf League

Congratulations to the First Team on their league win at Modderfontein Golf Club this week. The first team players, Nathan Schuldt, Charl Barnard, Connor Smulders and Michael Dalton must be commended for their performance against the top-ranked teams, St John’s, St Benedict’s and Curro Aurora. St Alban’s is lying 3rd on the A-League table, four points behind the leaders.

The second golf team beat Cornwall Hill at Centurion Country Club. The Second Team is leading the B League.
