St. Alban’s won the overall boys schools points trophy narrowly, by 1 point, over St. Benedicts College.

WATER POLO

The 2nd Team toured Knysna to participate in the Chukka Festival that was played at the Quays Waterfront from Thursday, 9 February, till Sunday, 12 February. The results were as follows:

 

Won 20-3 vs Graeme College 1st Team

Drew 7-7 vs Pinelands 1st Team

Won vs Parklands 1st Team 8-1

Lost 5-6 vs Merrifield 1st Team

Won 7-1 vs Fairmont 1st Team

Won 5-3 vs Paul Roos 2nd Team

Won 6-4 vs Pearson 2nd Team 

 

The rest of the Water Polo Club played against Parktown and St Peter’s at Parktown. The results were as follows:

U14A Won 11-2 vs Parktown U14A 

U14A Lost 5-6 vs St Peter’s U15A

U15A Won 18-9 vs Parktown U15A

3rd Team Won 15-5 vs Parktown 2nd Team

4th Team Won 6-5 vs St Peter’s U15A

BASKETBALL:

The u16A basketball team attended the annual St Stithians College u16 Basketball Tournament, held in the Brixton Multipurpose Centre due to the rain. 

 

The results were as follows:

Won 32 – 15 vs Usutu forest  

Won 52 – 10 vs ISSA (International School of South Africa)  

Won 57 – 17 vs St Stithian’s u15A  

Won 25 – 17 vs St Charles College  

Lost 26 – 41 vs Hilton College  

Lost 21 – 33 vs  Michael Mount Waldorf School

Won 32 – 18 vs Kearsney  

 

They finished top 6 of the tournament. 

 

GOLF

1st Team vs KES, Waterstone and St Benedict’s at Killarney Country Club. St Alban’s finished thor overall. 

2nd Team vs  PBHS C and Affies G. St Alban’s won the fixture. Congratulations to Johan Ribbens for shooting a level par, 36. 

3rd Team vs Affies E, Affies H and Cornwall B at Irene Country Club. St Alban’s finished 2nd
